“A beautiful story deserves a design that carries its heart. Pip and the Pocket Moon was created to feel like a warm, glowing bedtime story children will want to hold close.”
01
Cover Design
The cover introduces Pip and the tiny glowing moon with a deep midnight-blue sky, golden stars, and soft lavender clouds. The title is set in an elegant storybook serif with a hand-lettered warmth, inviting young readers to open the book and step into a gentle adventure.

02
Interior Page Layout
Each interior spread is designed to balance beautiful illustration with generous, readable text space. The left page carries the story forward while the right page lets the artwork breathe, creating a calm rhythm that works for read-aloud moments and independent young readers alike.

03
Character Styling
Pip is drawn with soft, expressive features and cozy night-time clothing that stays consistent across every page. The pocket moon itself becomes a character too — warm, glowing, and reassuring — so the visual story carries as much emotion as the words.

04
Typography & Text Placement
Storybook typography is placed with care so the text feels like part of the illustration rather than an overlay. Line lengths, spacing, and decorative details are sized for young readers and bedtime reading, with enough contrast to read easily in soft light.

05
Decorative Borders & Details
Fine gold borders, delicate stars, and tiny botanical flourishes frame the pages without overwhelming the story. These repeated details create a cohesive visual system that runs from the cover through every chapter of the book.

06
Color Palette
Midnight blue grounds the night-time world, moonlit gold carries the warmth and magic, warm ivory opens the page for reading, and blush pink and soft lavender add a gentle, dreamy quality throughout the story.
